DevOps Engineer (Azure + On-Premise) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a senior DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team remotely from Latin America. You will work on both Azure cloud and on‑premise environments, helping to design, deploy and maintain highly available infrastructure for mission‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, scale and maintain production Kubernetes clusters on Azure and on‑premise.
• Design, implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitLab.
• Manage Azure cloud resources and on‑premise infrastructure (OpenStack, QEMU, Hyper‑V).
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible and Terraform.
• Administer Linux systems (Ubuntu, Talos) and develop scripts in Python and Bash.
• Implement networking, load balancing, VPN and DNS solutions across cloud and data‑center environments.
• Handle database administration (PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse) and distributed storage (Ceph, NFS, S3).
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting using Zabbix, Prometheus and the ELK Stack.
• Apply security hardening, integrate SIEM tools (Wazuh) and vulnerability scanners (Snyk, SonarQube) into pipelines.
• Plan disaster‑recovery strategies and manage automated backups (e.g., AWS S3 Glacier).

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Proven track record with Kubernetes, Azure and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams on large, complex systems.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to take extreme ownership.
