Senior Software Engineer – Control Plane & Orchestration (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in control‑plane and orchestration technologies to join our client’s engineering team remotely across Latin America. You will work side‑by‑side with designers and engineers to build and operate large‑scale, cloud‑native platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement large‑scale distributed systems and highly available backend services.
• Develop and maintain platform APIs and RESTful services consumed by multiple internal and external teams.
• Build event‑driven and message‑driven architectures, including asynchronous workflows and orchestration patterns.
• Create and manage Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, and Custom Resource Definitions for multi‑tenant environments.
• Deploy, operate, and monitor cloud‑native applications in production, including storage solutions and observability stacks.
• Collaborate closely with Site Reliability Engineering teams and implement Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.
• Work on air‑gapped or highly regulated Kubernetes environments and ensure networking and security compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on control‑plane and orchestration.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Proven track record designing large‑scale distributed systems and platform APIs.
