Senior Software Engineer (Control Plane & Orchestration) – Remote

About the role

Join FullStack's talent network as a Senior Software Engineer focused on control‑plane and orchestration technologies. You will work remotely with U.S. clients, integrating directly into their engineering teams to design, build, and operate large‑scale distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available backend services and RESTful APIs consumed by multiple teams.
• Build event‑driven and message‑driven architectures with strong emphasis on reliability, idempotency, and versioning.
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, and Custom Resource Definitions for multi‑tenant environments.
• Deploy and operate cloud‑native applications in production, including storage solutions (object, file, block, container).
• Implement observability pipelines using metrics, logging, tracing, and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices.
• Work in air‑gapped or highly regulated Kubernetes environments and design networking infrastructure for distributed workloads.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically with control‑plane and orchestration systems.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven track record designing large‑scale distributed systems and platform APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, multi‑tenant environments, and cloud‑native deployments.
