Arquitecto/a Residente de Obra

About the role

The Resident Architect will be the primary on‑site representative of Grupo IMD, overseeing daily execution of commercial, corporate and industrial projects. This field‑focused position ensures that construction work follows approved drawings, specifications, budgets, schedules, quality standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review the complete project dossier before work begins, understanding contracts, exclusions, plans, specifications, budget and timeline.
• Verify site conditions, measurements, levels and identify interferences, risks and discrepancies between design and reality.
• Prepare and coordinate the execution plan with the Project Manager and Operations team, managing permits, access, storage areas and work schedules.
• Supervise daily activities of contractors, installers and site personnel, ensuring compliance with drawings, details, approved samples and technical specifications.
• Coordinate multiple trades to avoid clashes and rework, resolve field queries and forward technical information requests.
• Inspect material quality, finishes, fixings, joints and installation methods, stopping non‑conforming work.
• Organise daily contractor activities, assign work fronts, monitor attendance, productivity and performance, and communicate clear instructions.
• Maintain site order, cleanliness and proper protection of ongoing works.

Required profile

• Strong field leadership presence with the ability to represent the company to clients, supervisors, contractors and internal planning and operations teams.
• Technical judgment to ensure work is executed correctly according to plans, specifications, quantities, budget and schedule.
• Ability to identify and manage risks, interferences and on‑site constraints.
