Computer Scientist – Algorithm Engineer (Remote)

About the role

As a Computer Scientist at BairesDev, you will address some of the most challenging algorithmic problems, turning ambiguous business needs into scalable, production‑ready solutions that operate on massive datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms for inference, ranking, matching, classification and prediction.
• Create scalable heuristics that process hundreds of millions of records.
• Analyze computational complexity and optimise systems for large‑scale execution.
• Develop evaluation methodologies and validation frameworks to measure solution quality.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to productionise algorithms and experiments.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or close to completion.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and sound engineering judgment.
• Ability to work on ambiguous, open‑ended problems and transform them into well‑defined computational tasks.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Python programming (other general‑purpose languages are also acceptable).
• Design and analysis of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with graph algorithms and network analysis.
• Knowledge of information retrieval and optimisation techniques.
• Applied machine‑learning concepts, probabilistic inference and large‑scale data mining.
