Consultor de Seguridad Senior

About the role

SISAP is looking for a Senior Security Consultant to lead cybersecurity projects and help organisations reduce digital risk. You will act as a strategic advisor, translating technical findings into effective action plans for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, classify and prioritize security threats and gaps in infrastructure and applications.
• Conduct security, risk and compliance assessments.
• Prepare and review evidence such as logs, configurations and reports for internal and external audits.
• Validate security controls and track remediation of identified findings.
• Develop corrective action plans together with relevant teams.
• Define and implement cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures.
• Lead the execution of assigned projects and services.
• Research new methodologies, technologies and best practices applicable to projects.
• Produce technical reports and documentation for clients.
• Apply recognized frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.

Required profile

• University degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in similar roles.
• Proven experience leading cybersecurity, risk, assessment and compliance projects.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel and work in a hybrid mode in Guatemala City.

Required skills

• Risk assessment and security audit techniques.
• Implementation and verification of security controls.
• Knowledge of NIST framework, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
• Ability to develop technical reports and client documentation.
