Coordinador de desarrollo web (Tech Lead)

About the role

CODE Guatemala is looking for a proactive Tech Lead to coordinate web development initiatives. You will guide a small team of developers, ensure high‑quality code, and build AI‑driven solutions that automate and enhance business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of five junior and mid‑level developers.
• Act as the escalation point when technical blockers arise.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and delivery processes.
• Design and implement AI solutions such as conversational agents, automations, and LLM integrations.
• Monitor daily tasks, blockers, and delivery velocity.
• Mentor team members to raise their technical expertise.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years leading technical teams.
• Strong command of Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and system integrations.
• Demonstrated interest or experience with AI technologies (LLMs, agents, n8n, Make, Claude, OpenAI).
• Basic cloud knowledge (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to resolve production bugs and complex issues.
• Attention to detail for hidden problems like race conditions, memory leaks, or security flaws.
