DevOps Engineer – AWS & Kubernetes (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on DevOps / Cloud Engineer with deep experience in AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker to design, implement, and operate modern cloud‑native environments. The role requires a solid grasp of containerization, orchestration, scalability, high availability, infrastructure automation, security, networking, and CI/CD practices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, configure, and maintain AWS cloud environments following security, scalability, reliability, and availability best practices.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and workloads, including Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Namespaces, Ingress, scaling, and resource management.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure and application deployment processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting practices across cloud and container environments.
• Integrate security throughout the software delivery lifecycle (DevSecOps).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, Docker, and deployment‑related issues.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and a solid understanding of core services (IAM, VPC, EC2, storage, load balancing, security, monitoring).
• Proven expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration principles.
• Deep knowledge of Docker, including images, containers, registries, networking, volumes, and Dockerfiles.
• Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of IaC and infrastructure automation.
• Strong Linux / Systems Administration fundamentals.
• Good grasp of networking, DNS, load balancing, security, and high‑availability concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed/cloud‑native environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps / DevSecOps culture and practices.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
