Freight Broker (Carrier Sales Representative)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Freight Broker who will act as the primary liaison between our clients and carriers. The role involves tracking loads, verifying information, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining strong carrier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Update load information in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective carriers.
• Prospect, onboard, and cultivate new carriers to expand capacity.
• Track and trace shipments from pickup to delivery.
• Communicate load status via email and phone with dispatch teams.
• Sell loads while meeting target margins.
• Create and maintain an accurate carrier database tailored to account needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High level of English (minimum B2).
• Experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics, including end‑to‑end load tracking.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms and Carrier411 for carrier verification and load updates.
• Strong prospecting, onboarding, and carrier management abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
