Lead Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join a global automotive services leader. You will be part of the Engineering Platform Team, driving the design and automation of developer tooling, cloud infrastructure, and secure engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable GitHub Actions for the organization.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation to boost developer productivity.
• Lead DevSecOps initiatives, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Establish AI‑assisted development standards with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Mentor engineers through architecture guidance, design discussions, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master on planning and delivery.
• Participate in production support and continuous platform improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• At least 1 year of proven technical leadership and mentoring.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Strong experience with AWS and Terraform.
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD tooling.
• Background in Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Linux environments.
• Competency in DevSecOps, security tooling (SonarQube, CodeQL, Veracode) and incident response (PagerDuty).
• Daily use of Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot with knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM fundamentals.
• Excellent written documentation skills and English proficiency (B2+).
