About the role

The Incubation Operator is responsible for all operational activities involved in the egg and chick incubation process. Working under strict bio‑security standards and company instructions, the role ensures that eggs are handled, classified, incubated, and hatched efficiently to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload eggs and baskets for transport to breeding farms and for export.
• Classify eggs according to quality specifications to meet established standards.
• Move incubable eggs to pre‑heating areas and transfer embryos between incubators and hatchers.
• Sex and count newly hatched chicks, record data, and maintain bio‑security protocols.
• Vaccinate chicks to prevent disease and comply with production standards.
• Load chick baskets onto trucks for transport to grow‑out farms.
• Unload by‑products and transport them to a flour plant.

Required profile

• Primary education up to sixth grade (not mandatory).
• 0–2 years of experience in similar poultry or incubation roles.
• Strong visual‑motor dexterity and attention to detail.
• Basic mathematical knowledge for counting and record‑keeping.

Required skills

• Egg classification according to quality criteria.
• Chick sexing and counting.
• Administration of vaccinations to chicks.
• Operation of incubator and hatchery equipment.
