Software Development Analyst (Serverless & Full‑Stack)

About the role

The University of the Valley of Guatemala seeks a Software Development Analyst to design, build, and maintain modern applications that support the institution's academic, financial, and administrative processes. You will work with cutting‑edge cloud and full‑stack technologies to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy serverless applications using AWS SAM, AWS Lambda and other managed AWS services.
• Create micro‑service architectures and integrate applications across the university ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain full‑stack solutions with NodeJS, Angular and React.
• Build RESTful APIs and event‑driven integrations using API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, Step Functions, etc.
• Implement, customize and support enterprise platforms such as Anthology Reach, Odoo and Dynamics 365.
• Develop web forms and components with Progress Sitefinity or equivalent CMS.
• Integrate academic, financial and administrative systems via middleware and AWS‑based services.
• Work with relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated, secure deployments.
• Participate in code reviews, performance optimisation and production support.

Required profile

• Proven experience in serverless architecture and cloud‑native development.
• Strong background in full‑stack development and micro‑services.
• Ability to analyse problems, optimise performance and support production environments.
• Commitment to continuous learning of emerging integration, cloud and AI trends.
