Técnico/a en Sistemas Solares – Instalación y Mantenimiento

About the role

Albedo is looking for a Solar Systems Technician to represent the company in the field across Guatemala. You will ensure that every solar installation is correctly installed, operates optimally, and that customers receive excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑installation visits and delivery inspections of solar systems installed by partner installers, verifying quality and safety.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed systems.
• Carry out minor electrical work such as wiring repairs, flip‑on connections, panel board installations, and load distribution.
• Respond to emergency technical incidents in the field, resolving issues within scope and escalating complex cases.
• Train customers on system use during technical hand‑over, providing clear and service‑oriented communication.
• Document each visit with checklists, photographic evidence, and traceable reports in digital platforms.
• Follow electrical safety, work‑at‑height, and personal protective equipment protocols.

Required profile

• Technical training in electricity, solar energy, or a related field, or equivalent proven experience.
• At least 2 years of experience installing or maintaining photovoltaic solar systems.
• Knowledge of photovoltaic components, plan interpretation, and basic electrical codes (CNEE knowledge is a plus).
• Practical ability to perform electrical wiring, flip‑on connections, panel board work, and load distribution.
• Basic proficiency with digital field tools (mobile apps, checklists, spreadsheets).
• Strong service orientation with clear, professional, and friendly client interaction.
• Own a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel nationwide.
• Capability to work at height.

What we offer

• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Weekend on‑call rotation (approximately 1 in 5 weekends, low frequency)
• Salary Q9,000 – Q11,000 per month, plus travel allowance, phone, and continuous training
