Core Engineer

About the role

The Core Engineer will be responsible for regional and local core packet platforms, ensuring proactive and corrective actions on critical mobile data nodes. The role focuses on maintaining service availability and quality through preventive maintenance and robust support processes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive new central platforms and services from engineering teams.
• Provide solutions for incidents or abnormal events affecting business services.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
• Monitor platform availability, performance, and service quality using consolidated indicators.
• Operate according to OLA/SLA agreements and target KPIs defined with customers.
• Develop and implement best operational practices for platform support.
• Escalate and manage incidents with suppliers and internal departments.
• Execute platform changes following change‑management guidelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or operations within a mobile network operator.
• Strong understanding of mobile network technologies and core packet‑switched (PS) platform architecture.
• Experience with standard operating processes for operations, support, and maintenance.
• Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.
