Analista de Auditoría Interna RAS

About the role

BDO Guatemala is seeking a motivated Internal Audit Analyst (RAS) to join its growing audit team. The role supports audit engagements by preparing work papers, applying accounting and auditing standards, and communicating progress to senior auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and draft work papers for assigned audit areas following defined procedures.
• Apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and relevant Guatemalan tax legislation to audit tasks.
• Utilize International Auditing Standards in practical audit work.
• Report progress, challenges, and findings promptly to the senior audit manager.
• Assist in risk management and internal control assessments.

Required profile

• Student or graduate in Public Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in internal audit, internal control or risk management.
• Fundamental knowledge of internal audit procedures and internal control concepts.
• Strong ability to write clear and accurate work papers.
• Professional presentation and attire appropriate for the role.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Understanding of Guatemalan tax legislation.
• Familiarity with International Auditing Standards.
• Experience with internal audit procedures and risk management.
• Work‑paper preparation and documentation skills.
