About the role

The International Rescue Committee is launching an Anticipatory Action project in the most affected areas of Guatemala. The Operations Assistant will provide driver support and handle all logistical and operational tasks needed for successful project implementation, working closely with technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive IRC‑owned vehicles (manual and automatic) in compliance with local traffic rules and IRC fleet policies.
• Maintain vehicle logs, fuel receipts, documentation, and coordinate maintenance with workshops.
• Plan routes in collaboration with the Operations Officer or Manager and verify vehicle entry and exit.
• Control, safeguard, and inventory supplies and materials used in field activities.
• Establish and maintain healthy relationships with suppliers of goods and services.
• Assist in the procurement process by identifying national vendors and supporting purchase requests.
• Provide administrative support to the office, including documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Solution‑oriented individual with a passion for humanitarian work.
• Ability to follow protocols, manage documentation, and work collaboratively with technical and supply‑chain teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in field environments.
