Automation Engineer – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a remote Automation Engineer to own and evolve the automation infrastructure that drives key business operations for a fast‑growing SaaS company. You will design, maintain and optimise workflows that span lead management, CRM processes, reporting and internal operations. The role is full‑time and ideal for a candidate with 1‑2 years of hands‑on automation experience who can work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain lead automation workflows, including intake, scoring, routing, enrichment and CRM synchronization across multiple platforms.
• Manage CRM automation covering lead lifecycle, object relationships, field mapping, conversion logic and activity tracking.
• Create automated reporting processes for daily, weekly and monthly business metrics.
• Support internal operational workflows such as candidate screening, meeting intelligence, calendar synchronization and secure credential management.
• Write, maintain and debug Python and JavaScript code within automation platforms.
• Document workflows and automation logic to ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Identify improvement opportunities and recommend automation solutions that increase efficiency.
• Contribute to defining the long‑term automation strategy as the role evolves.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience building multi‑step, multi‑branch automations using Zapier, Make or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce objects, field mapping, lead conversion and CRM workflows.
• Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude or similar) with prompt engineering and structured outputs.
• Ability to write and debug Python and JavaScript for automation logic.
• Experience with webhooks, API payloads, field mapping and error handling.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, able to resolve automation issues independently.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
