Contador General – Responsable de Finanzas y Cumplimiento

About the role

The General Accountant will lead the administration, supervision and accurate recording of all accounting and financial operations of the company. This role ensures compliance with tax and labor obligations and provides timely financial closures and reports to support senior management decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and supervise all accounting and financial processes, guaranteeing correct registration of transactions.
• Ensure compliance with tax, labor and regulatory obligations.
• Prepare and present periodic financial closures, statements and management reports.
• Manage fixed‑asset control, inventory, costing and budgeting activities.
• Oversee invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and cash‑flow management.
• Handle payroll processing, payroll tax (ISR) calculations and related accounting books.
• Develop and analyze financial statements and other reporting tools.

Required profile

• Degree in Public Accounting and Auditing (CPA) and registered accountant with SAT; active professional license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar senior accounting, finance, tax and labor‑obligation roles.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, fixed‑asset registration, tax legislation, financial statement preparation, inventory, budgeting, invoicing, and payroll.
• Leadership ability, adaptability, change‑driving mindset and results‑orientation.
• Own vehicle and availability to work in Zone 4, Mixco, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with accounting systems.
• Proficiency in ERP platforms.
