Contador General – Supervisor de Contabilidad

About the role

The company is looking for a Contador General to lead the accounting team at its Ricoh offices in Guatemala. The role combines supervisory duties with hands‑on accounting work, ensuring accurate month‑end closings, tax compliance and reliable financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee correct, timely, and accurate recording of all accounting transactions across accounts, cost centers, SBU’s and channels.
• Supervise revenue, cost and expense provisions to ensure 100 % coverage within the month.
• Review and validate tax declarations before filing, ensuring full fiscal compliance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date reconciliations of balance‑sheet accounts, accounts payable and inventories (physical, fixed assets and non‑conforming products).
• Lead internal and external audits, coordinating deliverables with all departments.
• Deliver required accounting and financial reports locally and regionally on schedule.
• Manage transfer‑pricing studies and reconcile sales with accounting.
• Validate payroll and sales commissions prior to accounting entry.
• Drive improvement initiatives, cost‑reduction projects and technology/AI adoption.

Required profile

• Formal education: Perito Contador (high‑school level) or a degree as Public Accountant and Auditor.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing personnel.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• MS Office suite.
• Accounting software proficiency.
