Finance & Compliance Specialist – Accounting Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Finance and Compliance Specialist who will serve as an Accounting Analyst, responsible for maintaining and monitoring our internal control framework. The role supports SOX compliance, risk remediation and audit readiness, working closely with finance, accounting and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the internal controls framework, policies and procedures.
• Monitor the effectiveness of controls across financial processes and document activities.
• Identify control gaps and collaborate with process owners to implement remediation.
• Support the preparation and upkeep of risk and control matrices.
• Assist in control design reviews for minor process changes and system updates.
• Execute Internal Controls/SOX compliance activities, including control testing and documentation.
• Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external auditors.
• Coordinate with process owners to gather control evidence and testing results.
• Track management action plans and remediation efforts for control deficiencies.
• Document control walkthroughs and update process narratives.
• Conduct risk assessments for financial processes and maintain a centralized repository of control documentation.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance and operational teams, providing guidance on control requirements and preparing regular compliance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in accounting, internal controls or audit.
• Understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO) and SOX requirements.
• Experience with control testing, documentation and financial processes such as close, reconciliations and reporting.
• Schedule flexibility and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Comfort with technology and a commitment to self‑development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Workday.
• Familiarity with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools (preferred).
• Strong documentation and analytical abilities.
