Internal Auditor – Compliance Control Group

About the role

The Internal Auditor – Control Group reports to the Compliance Director and is responsible for conducting compliance control testing across the firm. The role ensures that controls are reviewed regularly, defects are identified and corrected promptly, and that the organization remains compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct control reviews and coordinate substantive reviews of financial, operational, and security processes.
• Analyze and interpret data to detect process breakdowns and support business units in implementing corrective actions.
• Review account‑level information to verify that production output meets performance expectations without compromising standards.
• Prepare and distribute audit reports to the Compliance Director and senior leadership.
• Collaborate with personnel at all organizational levels to report, escalate, and resolve compliance issues.
• Participate in additional activities and projects as assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of collections/default experience and two years of audit, compliance, or quality‑control experience.
• Preferably a background in finance or a related field.
• Ability to work in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment and adapt to changing conditions.
• Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lb.
• In‑office work schedule: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
