IT Specialist – Remote Weekend Shift

About the role

The Language Doctors, Inc. seeks a proactive IT Specialist to support its global, remote team during weekend hours. You will ensure smooth operation of cloud‑based applications, networks, and workstations while providing timely technical assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver remote technical support to employees across time zones.
• Install, configure, and maintain systems, networks, and cloud‑based services.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Administer network workstations using TCP/IP protocols.
• Manage system security, backups, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Monitor and optimise network and system performance.
• Document IT procedures and support tickets.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in IT systems and network support (entry‑level candidates with strong skills are welcome).
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Availability to work Friday‑Sunday or Saturday‑Monday from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM EST.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• Familiarity with remote IT tools and ticketing systems.
• Basic automation or scripting abilities.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, backups, and disaster recovery.
