About the role

The Farm Operative will carry out field activities according to established procedures to ensure optimal farm performance. This position focuses on the care and management of pigs, including feeding, health monitoring, and maintaining bio‑security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute both automated and manual pig feeding processes, providing feed and water while minimizing waste.
• Inspect and monitor equipment to maintain suitable environmental conditions for animal performance.
• Conduct health and mortality checks, ensuring timely medication administration or removal of affected animals.
• Observe pig groups to identify low‑performing individuals and take corrective actions.
• Apply bio‑security protocols within the work area to protect animal health.
• Assist with the reception, loading, and transfer of animals according to procedural guidelines.

Required profile

• Secondary education (high school) completed.
• 0‑2 years of experience in a similar livestock or farm role.
• Basic knowledge of animal care, especially pig husbandry.
