Program Coordinator – Guatemala & Belize

About the role

The Coordinator will support the planning and delivery of Global Public Service Academies’ health and education programs in Guatemala and Belize. Working under the Global Program Manager, this hybrid position combines on‑site leadership during travel programs with remote logistical support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Global Program Manager with pre‑program logistics, including scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and risk management.
• Lead on‑site orientations, communicate safety procedures, and ensure a respectful, inclusive experience for participants.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations during travel programs, manage schedules, coordinate with local providers, and work with the Project Assistant to resolve issues.
• Monitor participant health and safety, address conflicts, and handle emergencies in line with GPSA policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with local health authorities, clinics, and community stakeholders to support sustainable engagement.
• Prepare administrative reports and documentation after each program.

Required profile

• Mission‑driven professional passionate about health equity and youth education.
• Independent, organized, and able to work both remotely and in rural field settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse partners.
• Willingness to travel extensively in Belize and Guatemala during program periods.
