QA Automation Engineer – JavaScript (Cypress & Playwright)

About the role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong JavaScript expertise to enhance automated testing for our web products. You will focus on browser automation, identity and authentication flows, and help raise release confidence across multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand Cypress automation suites across several products.
• Introduce Playwright test coverage for new features and uncovered areas.
• Design and execute test scenarios for authentication, token handling, session management and edge‑case identity flows.
• Perform regression, integration and exploratory testing throughout sprint cycles.
• Run accessibility checks with axe‑core and report findings against WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Execute Lighthouse CI performance checks and raise regressions to the pod lead.
• Create, update and organise test cases in TestRail.
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps, expected results and environment details.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure testable acceptance criteria.
• Align pod‑level QA practices with the broader test strategy together with the QA Manager.
• Leverage AI tools to generate test cases, test data and assist in defect triage.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on Cypress automation experience.
• 2+ years of practical Playwright testing experience.
• Proven ownership of automation quality across multiple products.
• Solid experience in regression, integration and exploratory testing.
• Strong defect reporting skills with clear reproduction steps.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
