Relationship Manager – Capital Markets & Corporate Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager will act as a strategic advisor to corporate clients across Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, helping them raise capital in the markets and execute complex financial transactions. Working closely with the Institutional Banking team, the role blends client relationship management, advisory services, and trade execution.

Key responsibilities

• Expand and manage a portfolio of corporate accounts with diverse financial needs, targeting revenue growth while maintaining credit quality.
• Identify client requirements and propose solutions such as financing, cash‑management optimization, foreign‑currency products, and trade services.
• Cross‑sell a broad range of banking products, including cash management, trade finance, structured trade, FX, commodities, fixed income, syndicated and bilateral loans, and capital‑market instruments.
• Oversee all credit aspects of the relationship, conducting annual reviews, early problem detection, and remedial actions.
• Assess risk for business decisions, ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, and report control issues transparently.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of progressive experience in lending, credit, or related corporate‑banking products.
• MBA or Master’s degree in Business preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proven experience with large corporate clients and exposure to capital‑markets products, derivatives, cash management, trade finance, and securities.
• Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
