SAP + AI Solution Architect (SAP S/4HANA / GCP / Data & AI)

About the role

Gatesource HR is recruiting a full-time SAP + AI Solution Architect in Guatemala. The architect designs, implements and evolves the organization's technology architecture so that SAP S/4HANA, Google Cloud Platform, data platforms, AI tools and other enterprise systems work together as a secure, scalable ecosystem. The role also acts as a technical reference for the SAP Functional, SAP Technical, AI & Data and Infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the enterprise architecture integrating SAP S/4HANA, GCP, AI tools and other business systems, and define solution design standards, integration patterns and architecture principles.
• Design the integration architecture using SAP BTP (Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, AI Core).
• Lead the development of the corporate Data Lake in Google BigQuery, including the Google Cloud Cortex Framework with SAP templates.
• Define the AI/ML architecture, including MLOps and standards for explainability, security and data privacy of production models.
• Design integrations between SAP, GCP and external systems via APIs, messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Lead the Technology Architecture Committee, evaluate technical proposals, resolve design conflicts and document architecture decisions.
• Build and maintain the technology roadmap aligned with business strategy and advise the Executive Committee.
• Identify technical debt and modernization plans, and act as technical advisor to the SAP, AI & Data and Infrastructure leads.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity on IAM, compliance and security requirements, and work with SAP and Google Cloud partners on roadmaps and support.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical executives.

Required profile

• 10 years of overall experience in enterprise IT.
• 7 years of experience with SAP in a functional or technical capacity, including at least 3 years with SAP S/4HANA.
• At least 3 years as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect.
• At least 3 years with cloud technologies (GCP, AWS or Azure) on large-scale data projects.
• At least 2 years on AI/ML projects deployed into production.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
