Senior Software Engineer – .NET/C# & PostgreSQL (Guatemala City)

About the role

Our client, a global leader in AI‑powered legal technology, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical eDiscovery solutions used by legal professionals worldwide. This hands‑on role offers full ownership of features from concept to production while leveraging modern AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET/C# applications backed by PostgreSQL.
• Build and maintain automated test suites to ensure high software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues across the full application stack.
• Own features throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and support.
• Utilize AI‑assisted tools for code generation, reviews, testing, and debugging while ensuring accuracy.
• Participate in architectural discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices, including responsible use of AI tools.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed global teams across different time zones.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with .NET/C#.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience building, deploying, and supporting scalable production systems.
• Commitment to automated testing and software quality.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve live production issues.
• Hands‑on experience using AI development tools in daily workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (minimum B2).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within global teams.
