Software Engineer – AI Features (Ruby on Rails, React)

About the role

Inbox Health is seeking a Software Engineer to expand and enhance its AI‑driven SaaS platform. You will work on building new AI features and improving existing ones, collaborating with product and partner teams in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, high‑performance, maintainable Ruby on Rails code.
• Design, develop, and maintain REST API endpoints for partners and client web applications.
• Implement front‑end interfaces using JavaScript and React.
• Integrate large‑language‑model (LLM) APIs into product features.
• Handle complex data modeling, performance testing, and write advanced SQL queries for PostgreSQL.
• Create unit and integration tests with RSpec and ensure test coverage.
• Debug production issues across the full stack and support customers via Slack, email, and phone.
• Mentor teammates, lead pair‑programming sessions, and contribute to Agile planning.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work onsite in Guatemala and travel to Guatemala City as needed.
