Sr. Corporate Counsel

About the role

SBA Communications is seeking a senior legal professional to support its global telecommunications infrastructure business. The Sr. Corporate Counsel will ensure legal feasibility of tower installations, manage real‑estate matters and provide corporate legal guidance across the country of operation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze property titles and related documentation to assess legal feasibility of installing telecommunications towers.
• Prepare risk assessments on titles, mortgage bonds, servitudes, contract validity and restrictive conditions, and identify mitigation strategies.
• Certify property titles and oversee registration of properties and contracts with local government offices.
• Research applicable laws, statutes and precedents to support legal opinions and documentation.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal contracts and agreements.
• Manage general asset and real‑estate matters, including ground leases, permits and related travel.
• Coordinate corporate and regulatory filings, maintain corporate records and prepare legal memoranda.
• Support litigation activities, update trackers and monitor deadlines.
• Assist with due‑diligence and regulatory compliance policies such as title standards, environmental law, FCPA and anti‑corruption.
• Provide legal advisory services to the Asset Optimization department and coordinate vendor approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent Juris Doctorate.
• 5–10 years of experience in real‑estate and corporate transactions, including title due‑diligence, closings, zoning and contract negotiation.
• Licensed to practice law in the local market.
