TC Lab Coordinator

About the role

Syngenta is looking for a TC Lab Coordinator to join its Operations GT Seeds team in Amatitlan, Guatemala. The role will manage tissue‑culture laboratory projects, drive technical innovation, and ensure high‑quality, on‑time delivery of plant material.

Key responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX project proposals for the TC Lab, handling documentation, contractors, and finances.
• Act as the technical expert for TC Initiations, providing method guidance, technology research, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) for initiation and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day tissue‑culture operations from initiation to output delivery.
• Implement and promote the TERRA platform within laboratory workflows.
• Design, test, and improve tissue‑culture protocols in collaboration with technicians and stakeholders.
• Partner with the TC Lab Lead and Supervisor to ensure equipment readiness and material availability.
• Align practices with other Syngenta TC labs and adhere to the TC‑SEE process.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in plant tissue‑culture laboratory work.
• Experience managing projects, including CAPEX initiatives.
• Ability to develop and enforce quality management procedures.
• Proven capability to lead process improvements and adopt new platforms.
• Effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external labs.
