AI Senior Backend Engineer (Node/TypeScript, AWS)

About the role

3Pillar is seeking an AI Senior Backend Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance serverless solutions. You will work on cutting‑edge AI‑driven projects that reshape industries such as urban living, media, and healthcare, collaborating with global talent in a remote‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate project status and recommendations to client stakeholders.
• Write efficient, testable, scalable, and secure code for client applications.
• Participate in planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Gather requirements, present developed features, and drive delivery from concept to deployment.
• Mentor peers through Communities of Practice and support technical growth across teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Strong background in AWS serverless services (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, IAM).
• Experience building GraphQL resolvers and working with Aurora/PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in raw SQL, relational modeling, and object‑oriented design principles.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven frameworks and understanding of AI‑assisted development limitations.
