Analista Legal

About the role

ISM, a leading beverage and consumer goods company in Guatemala, is expanding its legal team. We are looking for a proactive Legal Analyst to provide comprehensive legal support across multiple areas of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate civil and commercial contracts such as supply, distribution, lease, service agreements and confidentiality agreements, identifying risks and proposing protective mechanisms.
• Manage all immigration procedures for foreign personnel, including visas, work permits and temporary or permanent residency.
• Provide labor‑law advice on hiring, termination, internal regulations, benefits and represent the company before the Ministry of Labor.
• Follow up on administrative procedures, inspections and audits related to labor, immigration and regulatory compliance.
• Advise business units on the interpretation and application of relevant legal norms.
• Maintain up‑to‑date legal documentation and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.

Required profile

• Law degree (Licenciatura en Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales) and notary qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in similar legal positions.
• Strong knowledge of the Guatemalan Labor Code, Migration Law and the National Registry of Persons regulations.
• Experience handling comprehensive immigration processes.
• Familiarity with sanitary and food‑safety regulations.
• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating civil and commercial contracts.
• Availability to work on‑site in Zone 10, Ciudad de Guatemala.
