About the role

SONDA Guatemala is seeking a Cybersecurity Solution Architect to design and implement robust security architectures across applications, networks, cloud environments, and critical systems. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure security aligns with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design security architectures for applications, networks, cloud platforms and critical infrastructure.
• Assess risks and vulnerabilities linked to new technologies or infrastructure changes.
• Define and apply mitigation measures against internal and external threats.
• Implement and validate technical controls such as firewalls, encryption, multi‑factor authentication, EDR, IDS/IPS.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, operations and compliance teams.
• Review and approve technology solutions from a security perspective.
• Create and maintain security documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures and risk matrices.

Required profile

• Degree in Systems or related field.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• 4‑8 years of experience in security architecture, cloud implementation or related roles.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CISSP, CEH, CISM, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud architect certifications, PMP).
