B2B Marketing & Business Communications Consultant (Remote)

About the role

IDB Invest is seeking a B2B Marketing & Business Communications professional to support its Business Planning team. The consultant will help position the institution’s transactions, events and award‑winning achievements across strategic industries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Key responsibilities

• Support marketing and communications activities that showcase IDB Invest’s deals, highlighting financial innovation and development impact.
• Maintain an inventory of high‑profile awards, assist with applications, track outcomes and build a knowledge base for future submissions.
• Coordinate business events, managing agendas, logistics, invitations, vendors and stakeholder engagement, and produce post‑event reports.
• Maintain accurate stakeholder contact records and update event‑related information before and after each event.
• Assist content initiatives and marketing campaigns that reinforce IDB Invest’s positioning in the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, International Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of B2B marketing and communications experience, preferably within multilateral, development bank or large corporate environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders and produce communication materials for transactions, events and awards.
• Strong understanding of private‑sector‑led development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Experience with content management systems, email‑marketing platforms and social‑media channels.
• Basic proficiency in database management and CRM tools for tracking contacts, awards and campaigns.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools to measure media coverage and campaign performance.
