Chief Operating Officer

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will lead Blue Medical’s operations in Guatemala and Costa Rica, ensuring day‑to‑day administrative excellence and a consistent, high‑standard patient experience while building the foundation for future expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the network of medical centers through regional managers, guaranteeing operational excellence, efficiency and a uniform patient experience.
• Provide strategic leadership of the supply chain, ensuring availability, control and traceability of medicines and medical supplies.
• Lead support and specialized service departments that enable and complement medical center operations, ensuring integration, service quality and scalability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or related fields; MBA or equivalent is desirable.
• 8+ years of experience leading multi‑site operations, preferably in health, retail, services or last‑mile chain environments.
• Proven ability to manage large, multi‑level teams through managers.
• Strategic thinking, data‑driven decision making, strong execution, process standardization and a scaling mindset.
• Collaboration with medical staff, executive communication, ability to work under pressure and a patient‑focused approach.
