Contador General – Full‑time, onsite in Guatemala

About the role

The General Accountant will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the company’s accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. This full‑time, onsite position is based in Guatemala and supports the finance team in delivering reliable financial information for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly and annual accounting closures.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare financial statements.
• Generate management reports for senior leadership.
• Coordinate compliance with tax and labor regulations, including preparation of tax returns.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial data.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience as a General Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and local tax legislation.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and manage accounting closures.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional ethics, good communication, and teamwork orientation.
