About the role

Transforma Digital is looking for a detail‑oriented General Accountant to join its finance team in Guatemala. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, complying with local tax regulations, and supporting the company’s financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and analyze accounting entries prepared by the team.
• Verify all movements and transactions recorded in the accounting system.
• Manage the company’s general ledger and ensure its accuracy.
• Prepare fiscal and administrative financial statements in accordance with Guatemalan regulations.
• Integrate asset and liability accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and inter‑company account reconciliations.
• Handle invoicing and reconcile shared margins.
• Review ISR (income tax) withholdings.
• Calculate and file ISR, IVA and Solidarity Tax forms.
• Conduct inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Generate reports on inventory variations, costs and turnover.

Required profile

• University degree in Public Accounting and Auditing (closed curriculum preferred).
• Experience in general accounting and preparation of financial statements.
• Knowledge of Guatemalan tax legislation.
• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience with tax handling, withholdings and bank reconciliations.
• Background in inter‑company transactions and import processes.
• Proven ability to control and analyze inventories.
• Intermediate level of English.
