About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support the Accounting Manager in executing, controlling, and monitoring the company’s accounting and tax processes. The role involves active participation in month‑end closures, tax filings, and the review and cleanup of historical accounting data, ensuring accurate and reliable information.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor key accounting processes, pending items, and internal controls.
• Prepare, review, and integrate accounting entries with an analytical focus.
• Participate actively in accounting closures and financial statement reviews.
• Execute tax processes and submit filings to SAT, including VAT (IVA), income tax (ISR) and withholdings.
• Prepare purchase and sales books.
• Review and clean historical accounting integrations and transactions.
• Identify accounting inconsistencies and follow them through to resolution.
• Coordinate audit and internal review requirements.
• Maintain constant communication with the Accounting Manager regarding progress, risks, and pending items.
• Contribute to improving and organizing internal accounting processes.

Required profile

• Student of Public Accounting and Auditing (5th semester onward) or completed curriculum.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar accounting positions.
• Knowledge of general tax regime, SAT procedures, monthly VAT and ISR declarations, withholdings, and account integration.
• Experience using the SAT Virtual Agency platform.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
• Strong analytical ability to detect and resolve inconsistencies.
• High organization, autonomy, sense of urgency, and prioritization skills.
• Confidentiality and responsibility when handling sensitive information.
• Professional communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
