DevOps Engineer – GCP & Infrastructure

About the role

Join TELUS Digital to lead the design, deployment and operation of cloud‑native infrastructure across our Central American sites, focusing on Google Cloud Platform and modern DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Own and govern end‑to‑end release management, planning, scheduling and post‑release validation.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate build, test and deployment workflows.
• Lead infrastructure and networking projects, defining scope, milestones, risk registers and stakeholder communication.
• Architect, document and manage scalable, secure GCP infrastructure using Terraform, including VPCs, VPNs and load balancing.
• Establish monitoring, alerting and incident‑response frameworks and support pre‑production testing environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps or platform operations.
• Proven experience managing releases and deployments in large‑scale environments.
• Strong project‑management skills; PMP or equivalent is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for both executive and engineering audiences.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and services.
• Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Cloud Build.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or Go.
• Kubernetes (GKE), Helm and ArgoCD.
• Monitoring tools: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Service mesh concepts (Istio/Envoy).
