Encargado de Patio – Logística de Transporte

About the role

The company seeks a Patio Manager to ensure smooth flow of transport units within the maneuvering yard, following programmed schedules and operational requirements. The role is critical for maintaining logistics continuity and supporting production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Assign processes for incoming transport units to avoid idle time and match demand.
• Monitor movement of units to cage or basket washing areas, ensuring bio‑security procedures before new product loading.
• Guarantee fuel supply to refrigerated vans while they remain in the yard to preserve the cold chain.
• Coordinate transfer of units for loading empty cages (live chicken) and finished products (processed chicken), maintaining timing and line continuity.
• Report incidents to the transport operator that could cause production delays.
• Arrange assignment and loading of units onto planned distribution routes to ensure readiness for client deliveries.

Required profile

• Active student in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in similar logistics or transport positions.
• Knowledge of heavy transport, refrigerated vans or towing equipment.
• Availability to work rotating shifts.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Competencies: proactivity, initiative and assertive communication.
