About the role

The Local Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services in line with purchase order conditions and corporate policies. This role supports continuous supply for operational needs while minimizing risks associated with procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies to streamline local procurement and reduce risk.
• Monitor electronic purchase order shipments and confirm receipt by suppliers.
• Verify that purchase requisitions are properly approved and contain all necessary information for execution.
• Guarantee delivery dates, quantities, prices, and specifications match negotiated terms.
• Maintain purchase orders and follow up on supplier invoicing to close the procurement cycle and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Manage advances, urgent payments, and invoice holds to control supplier payments.
• Meet local Service Level Agreements to expedite relevant events and requests.
• Update master data by managing supplier modifications.
• Generate status reports on purchase orders to keep internal customers informed.

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or customer service.
• Currently enrolled in the third year of a degree in Commerce, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using SAP for procurement processes.
