IT Specialist for Restaurant Technology

About the role

The IT Specialist will configure and support front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house technology systems for Campero USA restaurants, working closely with multiple departments to improve operations and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Level 1 and Level 2 point of contact for restaurant technology issues, logging, classifying and resolving tickets within response targets.
• Execute system rollouts and projects, including site readiness, configuration, testing and post‑installation validation.
• Support new restaurant openings and remodels by staging equipment, validating configurations and confirming functionality before go‑live.
• Coordinate warranty/RMA tracking, shipping and installation of faulty systems.
• Maintain documentation, job aids and knowledge‑base articles to ensure consistent issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of retail IT experience, preferably in restaurant environments.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, handle after‑hours on‑call rotation and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with NCR Aloha and/or Oracle Micros Simphony point‑of‑sale systems.
• Familiarity with Synergy Suite, loyalty and online selling platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ticketing/service‑management systems.
• Basic understanding of PCI DSS requirements and secure handling of payment devices and guest data.
