IT/OT Supervisor – Operational Technology Lead

About the role

The IT/OT Supervisor is responsible for the reliability, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Operational Technology environment, including automation systems, industrial networks, PLCs, SCADA, CCTV integrations, IoT devices and wireless infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support all OT systems to ensure maximum availability and performance.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for OT assets.
• Support industrial network environments – switches, firewalls, wireless and IoT connectivity – and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide PLC, HMI and SCADA support, assist with commissioning and implementation of new automation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with OT cybersecurity standards, conduct vulnerability assessments, patching and incident investigations.
• Manage relationships with OT vendors, system integrators and maintenance partners, tracking performance against service levels.
• Act as escalation point for OT incidents, lead root‑cause analysis and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs and produce regular performance reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting operational technology, industrial control systems, automation or industrial networks, preferably in manufacturing, mining, energy or similar environments.
