KYC Specialist – Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

Paysend is looking for a detail‑oriented KYC Specialist to join its compliance team on a fixed‑term basis. You will be the first line of defence, verifying new customer identities and ensuring the platform remains safe and compliant while supporting millions of cross‑border payments.

Key responsibilities

• Review new customer accounts and verify their identities.
• Assess and document the risk associated with each customer.
• Monitor trends and evaluate customer behaviour for potential financial‑crime indicators.
• Escalate any concerns to the KYC supervisor and manager.
• Stay up‑to‑date with KYC guidelines and regulatory changes.
• Reduce onboarding wait times by handling customer interactions efficiently and meeting SLA targets.
• Improve team CSAT by delivering clear, explanatory communications to customers.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to spot inconsistencies and solve puzzles that others may miss.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably within financial services or compliance.
• Excellent written communication skills to explain decisions to customers.
