About the role

The company is looking for an Industrial Mechanic to support the plant’s mechanical needs, reduce downtime caused by failures, and keep equipment in reliable condition. The role works closely with Production, Quality and Industrial Safety, follows established procedures and reports any risk or anomaly promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment used in belt manufacturing and assembly.
• Diagnose mechanical, basic electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic faults and propose safe, practical solutions.
• Carry out adjustments, lubrication, technical cleaning, alignment and part replacement.
• Verify transmission mechanisms and inspect motors, sensors, contactors, relays, wiring and connections.
• Support fault detection using a multimeter or other measurement tools.
• Respond to breakdown reports, restore operation quickly while maintaining safety and product quality.
• Inspect equipment before and after interventions and confirm functionality with Production.
• Record work performed, parts used, findings and recommendations.
• Notify in advance of required materials or tools and keep the work area, tools and spare parts organized following 5S principles.
• Comply with safety procedures, wear personal protective equipment and apply lockout/tagout before working on machinery.

Required profile

• Technical education in Mechanical, Peritos or Industrial Electricity.
• 1‑2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.
• Experience or knowledge in electricity and use of measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanics, basic electricity, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to handle tools and measurement devices.
• Availability to work in San Miguel Petapa and to perform overtime when required.
