Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle at AgileEngine. You will partner with product managers, engineers and architects to design, develop and maintain automated tests that ensure reliable, high‑quality releases.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand product functionality, design and acceptance criteria, and integrate quality early in the SDLC.
• Define and execute a product quality strategy aligned with business priorities and release goals.
• Design, develop and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration and UI layers using Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Champion a right‑sized test pyramid, balancing unit, service, integration and end‑to‑end tests.
• Build scalable automation frameworks that integrate with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools for test case generation, defect analysis, risk identification and coverage optimization.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning and code reviews to shift quality left.
• Investigate defects, perform root‑cause analysis and drive preventative improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering or test automation.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted testing tools.
• Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering and architecture teams.
