Senior Software Engineer – Agentic AI Development

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of agentic‑first software solutions. You will create intelligent workflows that combine tools, services, data, and human approvals, turning experimental AI prototypes into production‑grade systems for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows using Java, Spring Boot, React, and AI orchestration patterns.
• Develop reusable patterns for tool use, context management, memory, and multi‑agent collaboration.
• Integrate agents throughout the development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Establish standards for agent evaluation, observability, reliability, security, and governance.
• Prototype new capabilities and transition successful experiments into scalable production systems.
• Mentor engineers and shape an agentic‑first technical strategy across the organization.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to align agentic features with real user outcomes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software product development.
• Strong judgment around security, reliability, and auditability for enterprise solutions.
• Proven ability to guide, review, and improve AI‑generated code.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
