Specialist, Flight Operations

About the role

The Flight Operations Specialist provides essential administrative support to DHL Express' flight operations team, ensuring smooth coordination between crews, authorities, and internal departments. This role is pivotal in managing daily flight administration, jumpseat allocation, and training logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative assistance to the Operations Management team.
• Coordinate and manage jumpseat assignments at the station as needed.
• Prepare and manage the monthly per‑diem process.
• Handle all administrative tasks related to flight operations.
• Support flight crews with documentation and logistical needs.
• Act as the primary liaison with aviation authorities.
• Assist the Flight Dispatch area with administrative duties.
• Organise training logistics in partnership with the Training Manager.
• Create high‑quality presentations, reports, and other documents.
• Maintain and develop databases, archive correspondence, records, and reports according to established procedures.

Required profile

• University studies in administration, aviation or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in the aviation sector.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations (preferred).
• Organised, proactive and able to take initiative.
• Strong secretarial and administrative skills.
