SSO Monitor (Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa, Escuintla)

About the role

The SSO Monitor will oversee safety and security procedures on a construction site in Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa, Escuintla, Guatemala. Working 100% in the field, the role ensures compliance with the organization’s SYSO standards and promotes a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site walkthroughs to verify adherence to SYSO regulations.
• Inspect and verify the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Deliver safety talks and training sessions to reinforce occupational health and safety.
• Prepare reports and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety performance.
• Promote a culture of safety among all project personnel.

Required profile

• Field‑based work with flexibility to work half‑day Saturdays.
• Experience supervising construction projects (preferred).
• Verified knowledge of occupational health and safety, first aid, risk prevention management, and relevant legal regulations.
• Own means of transportation.
